Jackie Miller, MS, LPC, RMT, CHt

Jackie has worked in a variety of helping professions over the past 30 years. She is the mother of five and has been married for over 20 years. She is a 14-year veteran of the US Army and a Gulf War Veteran. Professionally, she has worked with all ages ranging from 3 years old to 90 plus years old and with all types of mental health issues and co-occurring disorders.

Her early career found her working in several agencies as a Certified Nursing Assistant and as a home health nursing assistant. She has provided palliative care for several elderly folks, including both her parents, and seen them through their peaceful ending to this life. 

She transitioned to counseling in 2000 after completing her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology at Rockford College (now Rockford University) with a minor in Human Development. She became a Crisis Counselor providing case management and intensive counseling services to children and adolescents ages 3 through 21 and their family members. After completing her Master's of Science in Community Counseling at UW-Whitewater, she became the Supervisor of the crisis program at an agency in Rockford, IL while continuing to provide intensive mental health services to clients.

​Over the course of the years, she has lived in numerous states as well as other nations. She has lived on the East Coast and in the Deep South, as well as in the Midwest. She lived in South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Panama and has visited The Netherlands. She's worked with a wide range of religious and cultural backgrounds. Ultimately, her experiences and travels brought her back home to southern Wisconsin, specifically Beloit, where her journey originally began.

Jackie became a certified Reiki Master Practitioner in 2019 and a Certified Acupressure practitioner. She is also certified as a dementia care specialist and a grief counseling specialist. She became a certified consulting hypnotist in 2021 and now incorporates hypnotherapy in her sessions when requested. In addition to mental health services, she offers Reiki sessions and Reiki sessions combined with Acupressure. Jackie provides an integrative approach which includes all belief systems and incorporates many traditional modalities combined with the philosophies from energy psychology.
